Position: Information Management Assistant
We are seeking a qualified and dynamic Information Management Assistant to play a pivotal role in managing the Program’s data. This position involves providing support in information management, database maintenance, reporting, archiving, and assisting with various data collection and entry needs. Additionally, the Information Management Assistant will support research activities, manage research information, and coordinate logistics for research initiatives.
Core Responsibilities:
Data Management:
- Support the development and management of new databases to meet reporting requirements.
- Consolidate data into the main database across different Program Units and community centers (QRFCC/QRCEC).
- Ensure accuracy and currency of information provided by project teams and community centers.
- Identify missing data, collaborate with teams to rectify errors, and enhance data quality.
- Perform regular backups of Information Management (IM) and Kobo data, storing them on SharePoint.
- Assist in calculating monthly indicator trackers.
- Conduct regular checks on systems and databases in project and field offices to ensure high-quality data collection.
- Assist in developing data collection forms, including creation and transfer to data collection software (KoBo toolbox-ODK forms).
- Collaborate with the Program Quality and Research Senior Manager to analyze and disaggregate data for monthly and donor reporting, utilizing SQL and other tools.
- Prepare quarterly and annual reports for Senior Management Team (SMT) with required disaggregations, using data visualization software.
- Lead the development of dashboards under the guidance of the Program Quality and Research Senior Manager, gathering outputs and outcomes at project and program levels.
- Undertake any data management tasks assigned by the Program Quality and Research Senior Manager.
Capacity Building:
- Provide on-the-job training and refresher sessions to program staff on database use, data entry, and data quality.
- Enhance the capacity of the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team on SQL and Azure accounts to provide coverage during absences.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Information Management, Computer Science, CIS, or any IT-related field.
- Strong proficiency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken).
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- IT background (Computer Science, MIS).
- Proficient in Python coding.
- Preferable experience with SPSS, Kobo, and ODK form builder.
