Job Description

Job Title: HR Assistant


Are you detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in payroll processing? We are seeking a dedicated HR Assistant to join our team at Jordan River Foundation. If you have 0-2 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, and proficiency in MenaItech, we invite you to apply.

Core Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:
1. Enter and update payroll data accurately and in a timely manner using HR software (MenaItech).
2. Prepare letters related to payroll, such as bank letters and embassy letters (Miscellaneous requests).
3. Maintain a report of employees' annual and sick leaves on a weekly basis and monitor attendance.
4. Assist the payroll supervisor in calculating employees' salaries, considering additions/deductions for overtime.
5. Calculate per diems for employees on business trips.
6. Gather and examine timesheets to ensure their validity.
7. Perform tasks before the pay run to ensure timely compensation and notification to staff members (deduction emails).
8. Archive and document all payroll reports.
9. Maintain accurate employee reports, including changes in salaries, benefits, and bank information.
10. Assist in the administration of employee benefits, including separations.
11. Generate payroll reports as needed.

Volunteer Management:
1. Draft volunteers' contracts based on approved DGR for paid volunteers and host department requests for unpaid volunteers.
2. Enter and update volunteers' data on HR software (MenaItech).
3. Prepare weekly and monthly reports related to volunteers to ensure updates for management.

IKEA Contracts:
1. Draft IKEA contracts based on approved job requisitions.

Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience.
- Proficiency in MenaItech.
- Strong English and Arabic language skills (written and spoken).
- Strong MS Office experience, specifically with MS Outlook, Email, Word, Excel, and Calendar.
- Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
