Roles & Responsibilities
At Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah, the role of Chef de Partie is integral to ensuring the high standards of food preparation are maintained to deliver an exceptional experience for guests and members while also assisting in food cost controls. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Food Preparation and Presentation:
- Ensure all food preparation meets the established standards of quality.
- Prepare and present high-quality food dishes to meet guest expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in all working areas, ensuring no cross-contamination.
2. Kitchen Operations:
- Prepare all mis-en-place for relevant menus in advance.
- Address guest queries promptly and efficiently to achieve positive outcomes.
- Ensure the quality and correct storage of food items to minimize waste and maintain standards.
- Contribute to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and achieving departmental financial targets.
3. Team Supervision and Training:
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure they adhere to company procedures and standards.
- Assist in the training and development of kitchen staff to enhance skills and performance.
- Foster positive working relationships and teamwork among kitchen staff and other departments.
4. Health, Safety, and Compliance:
- Report maintenance, hygiene, and safety issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with hotel security, fire regulations, health, and safety, and food safety legislation.
- Maintain environmental awareness and contribute to sustainability initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile
As a Chef de Partie serving Hilton brands, you should possess the following attributes:
- Minimum of 2 years of previous experience as a Chef de Partie.
- Valid trade commercial cookery qualification.
- Strong coaching and motivational skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Supervisory experience with a positive attitude and ability to work under pressure.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
Advantages and Distinctions:
- Previous kitchen experience in a similar role.
- Intermediate Food Hygiene certification.
- Knowledge of current food trends.
