Job Description:
Are you a friendly and courteous individual with excellent communication skills? We are seeking a Telephone Operator to join our team and serve as the primary point of contact for guests, providing exceptional service through our telephone system. In this role, you will answer incoming calls, direct them to guest rooms or hotel personnel, take messages, and provide information on guest services and hotel events.
Responsibilities:
- Speak clearly, distinctly, and with a friendly tone to put callers at ease and obtain accurate information.
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to guest rooms, staff, or departments through the telephone console or PBX system.
- Take messages for guests and deliver them promptly.
- Provide information about hotel services and events to guests.
- Log wake-up call requests and perform wake-up call services.
- Provide paging services for hotel guests and employees.
- Handle emergency calls effectively and follow established procedures.
- Assist in reporting telephone equipment or service complaints and problems.
- Train new telephone operators as needed.
- Adhere to health and safety, fire, and bomb threat procedures.
- Maintain records of calls placed and received by all departments.
- Update directory information on the front office software.
- Process guest wake-up calls.
Qualifications:
- 1 year experience in Rooms or related professional area within a luxury hotel.
- Proven track record in high-class lifestyle resort hotels.
