Job Description
Position Title: Broker for Physical Trading – Commodities
About the Client:
An independent physical commodity trading company based in Dubai with an innovative approach to the market.
1. Transaction Generation:
- Generate back-to-back fertilizer transactions based on market shorts.
- Identify sources of supply and end buyers/customers, fixing back-to-back deals with clear financial metrics to deliver a positive PnL for the business.
2. Deal Execution:
- Deliver multiple deals simultaneously to ensure full utilization of investment funding for the fertilizer desk.
3. Market Monitoring:
- Continuously monitor market developments, news, and events that could impact commodity prices or trading strategies.
- Report market updates and progress to the leadership and team, using knowledge to drive trading strategy and business development.
Qualifications:
- Open to Asian, European, and African nationals.
- 30 to 45 years old.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience with trading globally/international market in the area of fertilizer.
- Proven commercial experience of consistently delivering successful and positive PnL margins on trades across the sub-products of the fertilizer sector.
- Experience in the physical trading of various kinds of fertilizer and other commodities in the MENA region.
