Job Title: Income Auditor

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities:

General:
- Adhere strictly to the Rules & Regulations in the Heartists Handbook.
- Report for duty punctually, maintain a high standard of personal appearance, and follow dress codes.
- Maintain good rapport and working relationships with staff and other departments.
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings, training, and related activities.
- Undertake reasonable tasks and secondary duties assigned by Management.
- Respond to changes in the office function and Accounting & Finance function dictated by the hotel.
- Provide courteous and professional service, project a positive attitude, and exercise self-control.
- Understand and adhere to the Hotel's Rules & Regulations related to Fire, Hygiene, Health, and Safety.

Operations:
- Provide efficient service following MHR Standards of Performance and Objectives.
- Supervise, correct, and demonstrate duties and tasks required for the position.
- Be flexible to rotate within departments/divisions of the Hotel as assigned.
- Have a full working knowledge of all services and facilities offered by the hotel.
- Set up efficient filing systems for hard files and electronic data.
- Be proficient with all computer software used in the Finance Division Office.
- Handle in-coming calls or inquiries courteously.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization in the Place of Work.
- Set up an efficient communication network within the department and with other departments.

Financial:
- Establish an effective auditing system for hotel revenues and receipts.
- Provide revenue summaries to various Finance and Accounting Department members for daily and monthly reports.
- Provide revenue figures to Heads of Departments for profitable operation of individual profit centers.
- Monitor data input by operation level personnel.
- Audit charges to city ledger and credit card companies.
- Audit daily rooms, food & beverage revenue summaries, and supporting transaction reports.
- Audit revenues from other operated departments (laundry, spa, business center).
- Verify that all banquet revenue is recorded by checking against function orders.
- Audit room rates in the system and verify computer reports for occupied rooms.
- Review guest ledger balances, investigate late charges, and ensure closure at month-end.
- Carry out surprise checks of rooms, spa, and laundry areas.
- Assist in surprise cash counts of cashier’s floats, house funds, and foreign currencies.
- Prepare monthly closing journal entries and schedules related to rooms and food & beverage transactions.
- Daily verification of night audit work, including rebates, allowances, corrections, and transfers.
- Maintain organized files of all pertinent income audit records.
- Assist in training subordinates to build an efficient team.

- Ensure proper care of all equipment and furniture.
- Be familiar with hotel policies and procedures, emergency procedures, and safety regulations.
- Respect and ensure respect for the hotel's commitments to environmental sustainability.
- Adhere to confidentiality rules for safeguarding records and financial information.

Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting.

Additional Information:
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
