Job Description
Job Title: Chef de Partie
Responsibilities:
As a Chef de Partie reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, your role involves, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
1. Culinary Culture:
- Understand the importance and demonstrate a commitment to "Our Culinary Culture."
2. Leadership:
- Act as a leader and supervisor within the team, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- Proactively delegate, prioritize, and assign duties to Cook positions to ensure consistently high productivity.
- Supervise colleagues in collaboration with the Sous Chef to ensure efficient service execution.
3. Team Motivation:
- Demonstrate a positive and proactive approach to motivate colleagues, fostering a cohesive and efficient team.
4. Menu Knowledge:
- Possess full knowledge of all menu items, syllabus, daily features, and promotions related to your operation.
5. Food Preparation:
- Ensure all food is prepared according to specified recipes and standards, including quality checks and tastings before service.
- Communicate, monitor, and delegate EHC and ServeSafe standards to ensure compliance with established standards.
6. Colleague Awareness:
- Ensure all kitchen colleagues are aware of standards and expectations.
- Maintain proper rotation of products to minimize wastage and spoilage.
7. Cleanliness and Maintenance:
- Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment.
8. Communication:
- Report tardiness and unsafe work practices immediately to the Chef on duty.
- Liaise daily with Chefs to maintain open lines of communication regarding guest feedback.
9. Continuous Improvement:
- Actively share ideas, opinions, and suggestions in daily shift briefings.
- Continually strive to improve food preparation and presentations.
10. Sustainability Commitment:
- Ensure adherence to set recycling, compost, and landfill procedures in alignment with sustainability commitments.
11. Compliance:
- Follow kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards.
12. Other Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work cohesively and collectively as part of a team.
