Job Description
Job Title: Security Supervisor
Roles & Responsibilities:
Scope and Objectives:
The Security Supervisor will work on a rotational basis, overseeing operations during morning, afternoon, and night shifts. This role involves extreme variations in temperatures and requires possession of essential equipment for communication and security purposes.
Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Assistant Security Manager, the Supervisor ensures the protection of resort property, employees, and guests, while adhering to safety and security procedures.
Communication:
- Utilize duty mobile, radio (if applicable), and verbal communication for internal coordination.
- Interact with guests and contractors externally as needed.
Main Duties:
- Implement and adhere to Fairmont & Raffles Quality Management System.
- Assist in directing and supervising security personnel in enforcing fire, life safety, and security procedures.
- Develop safety and security measures to safeguard VIPs, guests, and property.
- Report incidents affecting safety and security promptly.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure the cleanliness of the Security Office.
- Conduct regular staff checks and prevent unauthorized access to guest rooms.
- Monitor and report maintenance requirements related to fire prevention and evacuation.
- Conduct training sessions and ensure ongoing on-the-job training for Security Officers.
- Prepare incident reports and daily reports in the absence of the Assistant Security Manager.
- Assist Human Resources in conducting periodic colleague room checks and luggage inspections.
- Prepare duty roster for the security department and ensure compliance with overtime procedures.
- Investigate allegations of crime and other incidents, maintaining confidentiality.
- Cooperate with other departments and assist in security-related matters.
- Monitor and control lifeguards and third-party security personnel.
Qualifications:
- Minimum secondary education.
- Physically fit and able to handle pressure.
- Recognized First Aid and/or Fire Fighting certificate.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Knowledgeable and skilled in using security equipment such as CCTV.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar position in a luxury hotel.
Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Competencies:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Adaptability to work in a multicultural environment.
