Job Description
Job Title: Steward Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervision:
- Provide courteous, professional, and efficient service, adhering to hotel Standards of Performance.
- Demonstrate a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct, and demonstrate all duties and tasks within the assigned place of work.
2. Knowledge and Training:
- Possess full knowledge of chemical usage and ensure the team is trained accordingly.
- Be flexible to rotate within different sub-departments of the Food & Beverage Division or any other department as assigned.
3. Place of Work Management:
- Perform opening and closing procedures for the assigned place of work.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area and its surroundings.
4. Cleaning Supervision:
- Supervise general cleaning duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with established standards.
- Oversee the cleaning and washing of dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils, maintaining performance standards.
5. Equipment Handling:
- Handle operating equipment and kitchen tools with care to minimize breakages.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory of operating equipment.
6. Garbage Management:
- Ensure strict adherence to garbage disposal procedures and maintain cleanliness as per standards.
7. Guest Complaints:
- Report and follow up on guest complaints or problems that require attention.
8. Training and Meetings:
- Attend and contribute to ambassador meetings, departmental and hotel training sessions, and related activities.
9. Food Safety and Hygiene:
- Assist in implementing food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP and other relevant regulations.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP regulations and monitor hygiene standards in collaboration with the hygiene officer.
10. Flexibility:
- Be entirely flexible and ready to rotate within different outlets of the Kitchen Department.
11. Additional Duties:
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Assistant Stewarding and Stewarding Manager.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in stewarding or related roles.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemical usage, and food safety regulations.
- Supervisory skills and the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Flexibility to adapt to different tasks within the Food & Beverage Division.
