Job Description
Position Title: Parts Picker | Al Futtaim Automotive | Trading Enterprises
Overview of the Role:
The primary responsibility of the Parts Picker is to receive, check, verify, and input automotive parts into the SAP system. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that the right parts are available for service and repairs.
Responsibilities:
Take a printout of the packing list sent by the Principal/vendor and physically count the number of packages to verify it matches the packing list.
Open packages, inspect for damages, count the individual quantity, and ensure that the received quantities match the packing list.
Check the physical parts for accuracy by comparing part numbers in the packing list to those on the actual parts.
Inspect for shortages, damages, or incorrectly received parts. If any issues are found, raise a damage report and inform the supervisor.
Organize the parts by size in a designated area to facilitate storage and retrieval.
Use the packing list to move the parts to their appropriate locations. Ensure that heavier parts are stored in lower or medium locations and lighter parts are placed on top.
Handle goods with utmost care to prevent dropping or damage.
Place items in the locations specified in the binning list or delivery order, ensuring that the complete quantity is accurately stored in the correct bin in an orderly and safe manner.
Safely load and unload goods from containers, trailers, or pick-up vehicles, taking care to ensure the safety of the goods.
Use a forklift or other loading devices to move the parts to their correct locations with care.
Prepare a Good receipt to document the receipt of goods.
Maintain the stock of consumable items like Brake cleaner and WD40, issuing them to workshops as needed.
Required Skills for Success:
Warehouse experience.
Experience with parts.
Automotive parts experience.
Effective communication skills.
About the Team:
The Parts Picker reports to the Aftersales Manager and collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma.
1-2 years of experience in any warehouse and storage industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
Valid Forklift driving license.
