Job Description: Financial Controller | Al Futtaim Automotive | FAMCO
Overview of the role:
The Financial Controller at Al Futtaim Automotive | FAMCO will play a key role in the planning, performance management, and controlling cycle of the business. Acting as a trusted business partner to the Managing Director and the operations team, the Financial Controller will be responsible for developing the financial reporting process using state-of-the-art tools to provide timely, accurate, and insightful financial information to both internal and external stakeholders. This role offers a high level of autonomy and responsibility, reporting directly to the General Manager of Finance and collaborating with Business Control-oriented staff.
What you will do:
1. Review and analyze monthly financial statements of all business operations and manage dispersion across all brands within business units.
2. Partner with Finance Leadership to establish BU P&L performance reviews and develop reporting/KPIs for key stakeholders.
3. Perform detailed costing for cost to serve and provide visibility on financial KPIs to drive business and operational accountability.
4. Understand individual market dynamics, translating them into financial implications to drive P&L and Cashflow optimization.
5. Analyze forecasts and budgets of all activities, locations, and business operations, including consistency checks.
6. Provide first-line support to business operations and local financial controllers on finance-related questions.
7. Develop, maintain, and analyze division-specific reports and dashboards.
8. Optimize financial processes and performance through data analysis (e.g., process mining, business intelligence).
9. Analyze consolidated product contribution margins.
10. Prepare accounting position papers.
11. Support the development and delivery of an extensive KPI pyramid across business locations and brands/companies.
12. Lead initiatives to improve financial decision-making and visibility regarding inventory, demand, and supply at the region.
13. Be the voice of finance in business and operations reviews, challenging business cases from a profitability and cashflow perspective.
14. Manage the control environment for inventory and develop best practices.
15. Participate in, own, and deliver business M&A and unwind projects.
16. Support operational leaders and GMs.
17. Liaise with peers (Sr. FCs) of all businesses to build and deliver a monthly performance culture with a strong focus on working capital and cashflow improvements.
18. Support in consolidating information for Brands and act as the primary point of contact with the Brand Finance team.
19. Collect data from internal and external resources on various types of costs, income, and expense projections and variance analysis.
20. Help in preparing or sharing the site-level P&L view on a monthly basis.
21. Review of P&L with Brand Lead/Performance office/GM on risks and opportunities.
22. Provide prompt support to get ad-hoc data and analysis for the General Manager and his Brand Lead/planning team.
23. Play an active role with the Planning team on end-to-end forecasts, annual budgets, and strategic plans preparation.
24. Take financial ownership of all business activities with the responsibility to provide effective and timely Management Reports on all Warranty and retention products.
25. Develop a detailed business MIS to encapsulate all key performance indicators for end-to-end business operations and performance covering all financial, commercial & operational dimensions.

About the Team:

- Minimum 12-15 years of relevant experience.

- Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
- Previous experience in a similar position in a world-class organization will be advantageous.
