Overview of the Role: As a Branch Accountant at Al Futtaim Motors, you will primarily support the TY & LX Showroom and Workshop, reporting to the Finance Business Partner (FBP) – Retail. Your responsibilities will involve various financial and accounting functions to ensure accurate and efficient financial management within the branch.

What You Will Do:

Cash Management:

Collect cash and credit card payments against cash invoices.

Maintain and balance daily collections and petty cash funds.

Monitor insurance limits for cash/collections in the vault, ensuring appropriate coverage.

Ensure that collected revenue is handed over to Transguard on the following day.

Upload daily collection reports in the provided shared drive.

Verify and hand over all collections/petty cash properly.

Monitor and communicate issues related to cheque clearance, bouncing cheques, and refund cheques.

Ensure accurate data entry in SAP and minimize billing cancellations and advance payments.

Ensure sublet and bought-out charges are posted to job cards for customer billing.

Business Processes & Controls:

Ensure that all business processes are conducted in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and with the correct levels of signatory authority.

Ensure that payments/deliveries are completed by or for the payer, with UT verification if it's a third party.

Ensure that petty cash expenses are paid with appropriate approval as per the Delegation of Authority (DOA), and maintain sufficient liquidity in petty cash for branch operations.

Accounts Receivables Management (AR Management):

Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly branch AR reports, including all credit facilities provided.

Follow up with relevant channels to ensure the timely collection of outstanding/overdue invoices.

Maintain a list of credit facilities provided to branch credit customers, including credit limits, credit periods, main contact details, and credit facility documents.

Maintain proper invoice filing with complete document sets for easy retrieval.

Review and ensure the timely submission of second sets of documents.

Reconcile credit customer accounts.

Invoicing & Delivery Management:

Process financial transactions and invoices in a timely manner.

Ensure adherence to all relevant Al Futtaim Motors (AFM) document processes for bank payments.

Ensure revenue/provision is in place, and Assignee clause is without error.

Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.

Perform record-keeping of all financial operations.

Manage Intra & Internal Sales, including Government Sales.

Authorize all in-house AFM sales and credit customers.

Provide a daily invoice summary for credit invoices and sales return cases, monitoring all outstanding debts and reporting as required.

Support and guide Matrix managers, Sales teams, and Sales Admin.

Perform petty cash management activities.

Financial Reporting, Cost & Internal Controls:

Conduct finance-related processes in compliance with AFM policies and procedures (SOPs).

Assist in monitoring Opex and Capex.

Monitor and maintain adherence to AFM administration document processes.

Monitor the clearance of open purchase orders (POs) and follow up as needed.

Handle ad hoc tasks and reports as required by the FBP, FM, or Branch Management.

Skills Required to Be Successful:

Experience in branch accounting in the retail sector.

Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.

Strong stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency in SAP or similar accounting systems.
