Senior Manager - Tax Back Office | Finance Shared Service Center | Corporate Services

Overview of the Role:

As a Senior Manager in the Tax Back Office at our Finance Shared Service Center, you will be responsible for managing tax compliance for the Al-Futtaim Group entities in Egypt. This pivotal role involves executing the Effective Tax Management Model, overseeing Tax Record to Report processes, and collaborating with various stakeholders, including Al-Futtaim Group Tax, Divisional Tax Managers, businesses, service providers, and fellow tax professionals.

What You Will Do:

Tax Compliance:

- Ensure accurate and timely filing of all Tax Returns based on country-specific tax calendars.

- Prepare and review Direct/Indirect Tax Returns with support from Business Finance and external Tax Advisors.

Tax Community:

- Coordinate with Business Finance teams in Egypt.

Tax Accounting:

- Record necessary tax journal entries, manage tax provision tracking, tax balances on the general ledger, and compute tax liabilities.

Tax Document Management:

- Centralize all documents and handle information requests for tax audit purposes.

Tax Controversy:

- Prepare and submit timely responses to queries from Tax Authorities in collaboration with Group Tax and Business Finance teams.

- Liaise with Tax Authorities and external consultants to resolve tax queries and investigations.

Transfer Pricing:

- Ensure adherence to Transfer Pricing Regulations and maintain proper transfer pricing documentation under Group Tax direction.

Tax Reporting:

- Prepare various tax schedules for internal tax reporting as per management requests.

Automation:

- Resolve tax-related system issues and actively support automation initiatives.

Tax Inspections:

- Act as the focal point of contact for tax authorities during inspections, managing relations and documentation for optimal results.

Other Key Responsibilities:

- Liaise with relevant managers and stakeholders for collaboration on critical topics.

- Contribute to the improvement of solutions and business processes.

- Continuous learning and development to upgrade professional knowledge and management skills.

- Contribute to business excellence initiatives and maintain strong rapport with the business.

Skills Required to Be Successful:

- Management skills.

- Tax technical skills and tax accounting expertise.

- Project management skills.

- Accounting and ERP knowledge (preferably SAP).

- Ability to work on various ongoing projects with good organizational and time management skills.

- Proactive attitude and team player.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

What Equips You for the Role:

- Tax, Finance, or Accounting certification.

- Essential knowledge of Egyptian tax regulations.

- Recognized professional accounting qualification is preferable.

- 10-12 years of experience in Egypt Tax.

- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and verbal).
