Position: Tax Manager | Finance | AFRE, Cairo

Overview of the Role:

The Tax Manager position at Al Futtaim Real Estate in Cairo is a pivotal role responsible for all tax matters within the Egyptian context. This role carries significant responsibilities, covering a broad spectrum of duties related to tax management and compliance.

What You Will Do:

- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate their effects to management and the tax team, and strategize to capitalize on changes.

- Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process, coordinating with the SSFC.

- Plan and develop an overall return calendar, coordinating timing and inputs with the tax team.

- Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary taxes.

- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.

- Ensure accurate, timely filing of local income tax returns and other business-related filings.

- Facilitate and manage the preparation, review, and inspection of company tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms.

- Handle and manage tax inspections with the tax authorities.

- Select, manage, and guide tax advisors to greater levels of effectiveness and engagement.

- Adhere to the group tax operating model through continuous communication with the Group Tax function.

Required Skills to be Successful:

- 7-10 years of experience in the tax field, preferably with one of the largest tax or accounting firms.

- Advanced knowledge of Excel.

- Basic knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.

- Proficiency in English language.

- Excellent communication skills.
