Job Title: Arabic Higher Level Teaching Assistant

The Role

We are seeking an Arabic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will assist the teacher with daily activities, supervise individuals and small groups, and advocate for students in overcoming their barriers to learning. This role requires flexibility, creativity, and a commitment to improving students' social skills, motor skills, subject knowledge, and independent learning abilities.

Responsibilities

- Student Support
- Support a range of students within the school in improving their social skills, gross and fine motor skills, subject knowledge as per the curriculum expectations, and independent learning skills.
- Respond to the needs of the children by providing appropriate interventions to enable them to overcome barriers to learning.

- Supervision and Safety
- Supervise students in class, between classes, during lunch and break time, and on field trips.
- Ensure the classroom environment meets standards for safety and cleanliness.

- Lesson Preparation and Assistance
- Assist teachers in preparing for lessons by getting materials ready or setting up equipment such as computers and printing materials.
- Assist the teacher with daily routines, including the organization of homework folders, diaries, and reading books.

- Assessment and Recordkeeping
- Support students during assessment periods.
- Help teachers with recordkeeping, such as tracking attendance and calculating grades.

- Classroom Management
- Support the class teacher to ensure the school rules are clearly communicated and modeled to all children.

Skills

- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

- Experience:
- Preferred 2 years of experience.
