Job Description

Job Title: Security Officer

Position Summary:
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for patrolling all areas of the property, assisting guests with room access, and monitoring various security systems. Your role includes responding to emergencies, ensuring the safety of guests and employees, and maintaining a secure environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access as needed.
- Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTVs), perimeter alarm systems, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems.
- Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily physical hazard inspections.
- Respond to accidents, administer first aid/CPR, and contact emergency medical services (EMS) when necessary.
- Assist guests and employees during emergency situations and notify appropriate individuals in the event of accidents or incidents.
- Defuse disturbances among guests or employees and call for outside assistance if required.
- Complete incident reports to document all Security/Loss Prevention related incidents.
- Handle interruptions and complaints effectively and resolve safety hazard situations promptly.
- Escort unwelcome persons from the property without disrupting operations.
- Report vehicle accidents/thefts and call for assistance using proper code responses.
- Maintain confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports/documents.
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and conduct interviews with relevant parties.
- Follow company policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards and assist individuals with disabilities.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with others, both verbally and in writing.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and support team goals.
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking, and lifting objects.
- Adhere to additional licensing/registration requirements as per state regulations.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in security procedures preferred.
- Previous experience in security or a related field preferred.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
- Familiarity with security systems and procedures is advantageous.
