POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Food and Beverage Server at Sheraton Oman Hotel, your main responsibility is to serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests. This includes setting tables according to the type of event and service standards, answering questions on menu selections, and communicating with the kitchen regarding orders. You will ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during each course, recording transactions in the MICROS system, and maintaining cleanliness in work areas. Additionally, you will complete closing duties and present accurate checks to guests.

JOB DUTIES:
- Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages.
- Set tables according to event and service standards.
- Answer questions on menu selections.
- Communicate with the kitchen on orders, wait times, re-cook orders, and product availability.
- Relay additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Record transactions in the MICROS system.
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
- Complete closing duties, including restocking items and turning off lights.
- Present accurate checks to guests and process payments.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period.
- Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
