Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Job Description:

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that our guests' experience is exceptional from the moment they arrive until they depart. Your responsibilities will include responding to and addressing guest repair requests, conducting preventive maintenance, and performing complex repairs and maintenance tasks on various equipment and systems.

Role and Responsibilities:

Respond to guest repair requests promptly and professionally.

Communicate with guests and customers to resolve maintenance issues independently.

Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and well-lubricated.

Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines for any issues.

Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment as needed.

Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies when necessary.

Ensure that daily activities and problems are effectively communicated to other shifts using approved communication methods.

Proficiently read standard blueprints and electrical schematics related to plumbing and HVAC.

Demonstrate advanced engineering operations skills and a strong general mechanical ability.

Exhibit proficiency in several categories, including air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry, and more.

Possess solid knowledge and skills in the safe use of hand and power tools.

Safely conduct highly complex repairs on physical property, electrical, plumbing, mechanical equipment, air conditioners, refrigeration, and pool heaters, ensuring that all methods, materials, and practices meet company standards and local and national codes.

Troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment and systems, such as pumps, motors, plumbing, electrical equipment, and more.

Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.

Demonstrate advanced knowledge of engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems.

Conduct advanced troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.

Train and mentor other engineers as needed.

Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds.

Follow all company policies and safety procedures.

Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.

Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information.

Uphold company standards for quality and professionalism.

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members.

Provide assistance and support for common goals.

Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
