POSITION SUMMARY

As a Maintenance Engineer at JW Marriott Hotel Muscat, you will be responsible for responding to and attending to guest repair requests. This includes resolving maintenance issues, performing preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, and ensuring the proper management of the mud-logging unit. The role requires advanced engineering operations skills, including expertise in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry, and energy conservation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Respond to and attend to guest repair requests.

- Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues.

- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.

- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.

- Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment.

- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies.

- Display advanced ability to read standard blueprints and electrical schematics concerning plumbing and HVAC.

- Troubleshoot and perform repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems.

- The position is full-time and located in Muscat, Oman.

- No relocation assistance is provided.

- The role involves working on a full-time schedule.

Qualifications:

- Degree in Engineering or related field.

- Experience in maintenance operations, preferably in a hotel or similar setting.

- Advanced knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools.

- Proficiency in reading standard blueprints and electrical schematics.

- Ability to troubleshoot and perform complex repairs.

- Strong communication skills.

- Ability to work in a team environment.
