Roles & Responsibilities

As a Food Preparation Team Member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and presentation of food items according to established standards. Your responsibilities include:

1. Food Preparation:
- Prepare special meals or substitute items as needed.
- Regulate the temperature of cooking equipment such as ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
- Thaw frozen food items in the refrigerator before use.
- Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food items.

2. Quality Control:
- Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared to maintain standards.
- Communicate with the Chef regarding excess food items for daily specials.
- Notify Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items.

3. Cooking and Presentation:
- Cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Prepare cold food items as required.

4. Team Management and Support:
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
- Serve as a role model for other team members.
- Support team members to reach common goals and address their concerns appropriately.

5. Safety and Security:
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
- Complete safety training and certifications as required.

6. Professionalism and Customer Service:
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Anticipate and address guests' service needs.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and guests.

7. Physical Requirements:
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period.
- Perform various physical tasks including reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and lifting objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.

8. Additional Duties:
- Perform any other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
