Job Title: F&B Service Expert (Waiter/Waitress)

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Server at Sheraton Oman Hotel, your responsibilities will include:

- Serving food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests.
- Setting tables according to the type of event and service standards.
- Answering questions on menu selections.
- Communicating with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, re-cook orders, and product availability.
- Communicating additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Recording transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order.
- Checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages.
- Maintaining cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day.
- Completing closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc.
- Presenting a physical and accurate check to the guest and processing payment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period.
- Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
- Flexibility to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
