Job Description

Job Title: Guest Relations Specialist

Position Summary:
As a Guest Relations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences at Marriott. Your primary responsibility is to promptly address guest calls, requests, and concerns while utilizing effective sales techniques to maximize revenue and enhance guest loyalty. Additionally, you will assist in managing reservations, processing rewards points, and providing general office support to the Sales & Marketing team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly and effectively to guest calls, requests, and issues, liaising with relevant departments as necessary to resolve them efficiently.
- Utilize sales techniques to enhance revenue generation while maintaining guest loyalty, including upselling and offering complimentary rewards.
- Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, fax, or mail, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Enter Marriott Rewards information accurately into the appropriate software system when handling guest reservations.
- Perform general office duties such as filing, email correspondence, typing, and faxing to support the Sales & Marketing team.
- Assist management in training and motivating employees, serving as a role model for exemplary guest service.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and professional appearance and safeguarding proprietary information and company assets.
- Extend warm welcomes to guests according to company standards, anticipate their service needs, and express genuine appreciation for their patronage.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, preparing and reviewing written documents accurately and answering telephones with appropriate etiquette.
- Foster positive working relationships with team members, supporting common goals and addressing concerns in a constructive manner.
- Monitor the performance of colleagues to ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Demonstrate physical agility by lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Fulfill any other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
